Merry Christmas!!

Just wanted to drop in real quick and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

I'll be super busy the next 2 weeks drinking hot chocolate, make Christmas treats, looking at Christmas lights and planning crazy Elf on the Shelf attacks!!!

A few weeks ago we got together with the in-laws and had our pictures taken for a Christmas gift...it turned out to be the absolute worst day to take pictures as the wind was blowing some kind of crazy!  We would have rescheduled for another day but trying to coordinate 8 different schedules is next to impossible so we just went with it!  It's also next to impossible to get a 2 1/2 month old to look anywhere in the remote direction of the camera...oh well, we tried...and tried...and tried somemore!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving...4 of them actually!! I may or may not have eaten an entire pumpkin pie by myself:)  I had planned on going black Friday shopping but that plan flew out the window when my daughter got strep throat so instead we stayed home and put up all of our Christmas decorations and took a few pics for our Christmas card.  Even with Miss A feeling kind of crummy she still managed to dance around the tree lipsyncing to Christmas songs and hang ornaments way to close together!

A month late & Right on time!

Dangit, everytime I committ to blogging more it seems like a million different things come up and blogging gets put on the back burner.


Oh well, here are Chooch's 1 month and 2 month stats:

• You weigh around 8 pounds.
• You are wearing size 1 diapers and newborn clothes.
• You are still breastfeeding. We joke that you breastfeed like a cell phone plan...nights and weekends only!!  During the day you take a 6oz bottle every 4-5hours.
• You love your babysitter and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual!  
• You are still back and forth with the pacifier...sometimes you love it and other times you act like its gagging you so you projectile shoot it across them room. 
• You are sleeping in 5-6 hour stretches.  You crash out about 10:30pm and wake up to nurse a little around 5am.  No complaints from this momma!   
• You have been rolling over during tummy time.  (I'm raising a baby Hulk!) 
• Also during tummy time you've been pulling your knees up a little under your tummy...I think you'll be crawling before I know it!  
• You smile all the time:)
• You coo a lot and you've almost laughed a few times. 

 

You weigh around 12.5 pounds.  (porker!...i kid i kid!!)

You are still wearing size 1 diapers but you've outgrown your newborn clothes and have moved up to the 0-3mo and sometimes 3-6mo clothes.

You are still breastfeeding. We joke that you breastfeed like a cell phone plan...nights and weekends only!! During the day you take a 6oz bottle every 4-5hours and because of your ever growing appetite we've started giving you a little cereal at night and in the morning. You love it and eat it up like a champ!! 

You love your babysitter and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual!

You are still back and forth with the pacifier...sometimes you love it and other times you act like its gagging you so you projectile shoot it across the room.

The time change completely threw you off schedule:/

You are sleeping in 5-6 hour stretches. You crash out about 10:30pm and wake up to nurse a little around 5am. No complaints from this momma!

We love you so much...espcially your big sister.  She loves carrying you around and changing your diapers...only the wet ones though!!

 

Chooch!!

After 2 1/2years of trying and waiting and trying and waiting to get pregnant again for the second time we found out in January of this year that we were expecting!  FINALLY!!  We found out in the spring that it was a BOY...we new from the very beginning it was a boy...we just had a feeling!  And the mister made us wait a full 40wks before he was finally given the boot!  Inducing wasn't my original birth plan but after waiting 40wks and him still not showing any signs of wanting to come out my doctor recommended it.

Chooch (his nickname) was born Wednesday, Sept. 5th at 4:15pm and weighed in at 7lbs 1oz and was 18 1/2in long with 10 fingers and 10 toes and a set of lungs that would make an opera singer jealous!!

New Blog

I decided to create a new blog instead of going back and editing names and places (for safety reasons) on the old one.  Then I found out I was pregnant and blogging took a back seat to getting sick, going to doctor appointments and trying to squeeze a large and in charge belly into my medium t-shirts!  But I'm back and busier than ever with work, and 2 kids, and a husband, and laundry, and dishes but hopefully I'll be able to at least publish one post a week...hopefully!
